Deborah Valentine Smith returns this Fall to teach the 40 hour Basic Class over two weekends.

There are no prerequisites to taking this class which introduces the Jin Shin Do® form.  For beginners this introduces the techniques of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure providing irnformation that can be used on oneself and friends.  For ABT practitioners, the class offers a new take on Asian Bodywork Therapy.

Classes will be held over two weekends, September 16-18 and September 30-October 2.

                                Fridays, 6 - 10pm

                               Saturdays, September 17 and October 1 from  9am - 6pm and

                               Sundays 9am - 6pm

   This class is recommended to Shiatsu professionals wanting a refresher course in Dr. Kaneko's Shiatsu Anma Long Form to enhance their private practice or prepare for Dr. Kaneko's upcoming advanced technique workshop.  The class will provide a complete review of soothing and kneading techniques, pressure application, exercising, stretching and tapping techniques.  Objectives:  1) provide a one-day class reviewing Dr. Kaneko's entire Long Form sequence and techniques including: Prone, Supine and Seated. 2) review location of Yu/Shu points, Bo/Mu points and their corresponding organs. 3) thorough review of the main meridians and their pathways.

Suzanne Yates, Honorary member of AOBTA® from the UK, international authority on pregnancy shiatsu and massage, and author of Shiatsu for Midwives, Beautiful Birth and Pregnancy and Childbirth: A holistic guide to massage and bodywork, will be coming to the US this summer to offer a special workshop series for Asian Bodywork Therapists:
